Tom Green: Inside and Outside the Box offers a solid if not spectacular package for the comedian's fans. The video quality is variable due to the nature of how the show was done: namely, there are several on-location bits that were done with low-end video equipment. That said, the video presented here is free of distortion or damage. The sound is similarly low on frills but it gets the job done. In terms of extras, the major one is an hour-long collection of outtakes from the show. This material is mainly culled from the studio-audience portion of the shoot and it's easy to understand why it stayed on the cutting room floor (much of the footage is devoted to gags that never quite catch fire). Commentary is also provided for one of the episodes -- despite a claim of two commentaries on the package -- and it offers a few amusing tidbits for the patient listen. Overall, the extras fail to add much value to the set but Tom Green: Inside and Outside the Box is still a decent proposition for fans since it collects so much previously out-of-circulation material in one convenient package. ~ Donald Guarisco, All Movie Guide
