A good TV movie that gets the basic Simitar treatment. Regrettably, the video side suffers worst, looking barely better than a good VHS tape, with poor contrast and a lot of softness and graininess, though absent any obvious video artifacts. The audio too is hardly notable, with a mono track that gets the job done and no more, compressed to flatness on the one hand, sometimes tinged with a hint of distortion on the other. DVD extras are limited to a page of film data, and brief bios of
Susan Sarandon and
Kristy McNichol. The disc comes in a keep case with no booklet. ~ Steven E. McDonald, All Movie Guide
