Editorial Review of DVD
Fletcher Markle's entertaining documentary about auteur Alfred Hitchcock comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer that preserves the aspect ratio of the original CBC broadcast. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Mono. There are neither subtitles nor closed-captions on this release. Although there are no special features, the candid interview with the master and the clips of him working on Marnie should be considered special enough by any film fan to make this disc required viewing. This is a case of a standard disc containing a superb film. ~ Perry Seibert, All Movie Guide
