This modest sci-fi thriller gets a solid treatment on DVD from Anchor Bay Entertainment.
Warning Sign is presented in an anamorphic, letterboxed transfer that captures the film's straightforward look and muted colors with plenty of clarity. The disc also retains the film's original stereo mix; it's not as action-packed as a modern stereo mix would be, but it offers a strong soundscape nonetheless. In terms of extras, there is a pair of trailers (a theatrical preview and a TV spot) plus a commentary track with co-writer/director
Hal Barwood. The commentary suffers from some dull patches, but Barwood is clearly excited to be there and reveals a few interesting nuts-and-bolts details for the patient listener. The disc also begins with trailers for other Anchor Bay releases, but thankfully viewers are allowed the option of skipping them by pressing their "menu" button. All in all, this is a decent package for fans of
Warning Sign and a quality effort all around from Anchor Bay (at a nice price, to boot). ~ Donald Guarisco, All Movie Guide
