1. Next Year Jerusalem: The Journey of a Lifetime

Choosing life in life's final chapter is the poignant subtext of Next Year Jerusalem, a lyrical portrait of eight nursing home residents who make a pilgrimage to Israel. Offered a seat on the bus for the tour, we accompany these individuals across stunning Israeli sites and landscapes, from mountains to desert. But the film is less a story about tourists in a foreign land than it is a meditation on the sanctity of the human experience and the wisdom acquired over a lifetime. Surprisingly uplifting, Next Year Jerusalem is a true exploration of living and dying, hope and fear, and travel and memory...a celebration of - and a tribute to - life's eldest travelers.

2. The Golden Pomegranate

Based on the best-selling novel the untold story of the first Jewish pioneers

A Jewish faith-based movie that shows the courage of one woman in troubling times. Noa, a popular Israeli singer of Yemenite descent, prepares for a concert in Jerusalem but is interrupted by an old Arab man, who claims to have been a close friend of her great-grandmother. He tells her the story of Mazal, a Jewish child-bride from Yemen who preserves her religion, culture, family, and unique art, surviving the harsh, violent conditions of Jerusalem and the Holy Land from the late 19th century through the mid-20th century. She becomes the mother of two, a young widow, and the family s breadwinner through her skills as a jeweler. In time, a woman of property and an ardent patriot, she prevails through the bloody decades while living in the Old City of Jerusalem. Mazal heads a family of extraordinary, unforgettable characters and grows old in strength and determination, remaining true to her traditions and ideals.

3. Israel: The Royal Tour

From PBS - This non-stop, groundbreaking adventure takes you on a historic journey throughout Israel, at the intersection of the world's three great religions. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Peter Greenberg explore Israel as you've never seen it before-- through the eyes of its leader. Greenberg also sits down with the Prime Minister for a candid and unrehearsed discussion about the ever-changing state of affairs in the Middle East.

4. Mechina: A Preparation

Maital and her cousin Amital have a lot in common. hey both work for peace. They both enjoy music, dancing, and going to the beach. At 18, they both graduated from high school and faced major decisions about their futures. The difference? Maital attended college in North Carolina; Amital entered pilot's training in the Israeli army.  In th summer of 2004, Maital embarked on a journey to discover what it means to be 18 in Israel.

5. Language of the Enemy

Romi Meir, an American businessman, travels to Israel for the funeral of his father. While there, he is persuaded to do a brief reconnaissance for the Israeli Secret Service inside the city of Ramallah. However, the assignment goes awry and Romi finds himself trapped behind enemy lines with a mysterious, beautiful Palestinian woman, Joleh Khalid. Caught in the crossfire between opposing sides of the Arab-Israeli conflict, he is forced to re-examine his own world view, as well as those of the Palestinians. But, can he really trust them? And can they trust him?

A handful of others -- just ask about them.

Kristen, I frequently have the same problem. I buy movies from Film Movement, a perfectly legit source. But the UPC is not in the "system". There will be numerous WL for it. You can post it in the bazaar but it will only be requested if someone looks for it there -- and sometimes no one does. So you have people wanting the DVD and people with the DVD but they may not connect.

This hit comedy explores mens attitudes toward women. Three friends a newlywed, a lovestricken guy, and a ladies man look for love, lust, or marriage ... or maybe all of the above.

In Hebrew, English subtitles. Unpostable because DVD came from Israel so UPC unrecognizable. NTCS format though. Not a counterfeit copy.

I have two DVDs to swap that people want but cannot post them becasue my UPCs are not recognized. This site needs the same ability that PaperbackSwap has to post directly when you search for a book and can post it then. I have "Colombian Love" which I bought in Israel but is NTSC format so acceptable for swap. I also have "Noise" but it was received as part of Film Movement's DVD Club so has a different UPC than the ones bought in the stores.  Four people currently want "Colombian Love" and one wants "Noise" but I can't post them.
