Hope someone can help me out. I used to watch a show early on Saturday mornings when I was a kid (back in the 80's). It came on either before or after Land of the Lost. It was about a kid who lived near the ocean, and he had seaweed friends that lived in caves. It was a live actor show, and the seaweed creatures were probably 3-4 feet high? Can't really remember much else, but I remember enjoying the show as a child...

Oh, I remember that one Land of the Lost....those sleestaks creeped me out!

I first thought of The Snorks, but you said it's not animated.

Thanks! I took a look, and it was Sigmund & the Sea Monsters. I put it on my Wish List, so maybe someone will post it soon. I'd love to see it again.

I also loved Land of the Lost and put it on my Wish List....

Saturday mornings just aren't what they used to be. (sigh)

Thanks again, Rita.

My sister who was a little older loved HR Puffnstuff adn the Banana Splits! I loved Sigmund. But, you know, a few years ago, I got to see an episode of Sigmund and the Sea Monster.  It was just the dumbest thing ever-- it didn't age well.

In the late 70s my dad took us to Sid and Marty Kroft world in Georgia.  It was an indoor amusement park themed after all of those shows. For some reason, it closed very soon after it opened, but it was a fun place.
