Any others out there who watch this type of programming?  I'm looking to start up a discussion with ideas and suggestions.

I'm a huge fan of this genre and am always looking for a new title to view.  My DVD rack is full of great ones.  Pride and Prejudice (the Colin Firth version) is perhaps my all-time favorite, but there are so many that I love.   Which ones are your favorites?

I really liked "The Buccaneers" based on a story by Edith Wharton about nouveau riche American girls looking for husbands in Europe around the turn of the century.  Starring Mira Sirvino, and Carla Guggino among others.

I just rewatched The Buccaneers a couple of weeks ago.   It's a great one.  North and South with Richard Armitage and Daniella Ashby is excellent.  Have you seen it?

Hi Sandy

Haven't seen North and South - but will look for it at my library.

I just saw a BBC version of Sense & Sensibility, which I thought was at least as good as the movie with Emma Thompson, and more detailed because it was longer.
