What does (Dol) mean after a title of a DVD? Thanks

My first guess is DOL is Dolby. But I'm not 100% positive about that. Kellie |

Dolby (Digital Sound) is correct. Here are a few more... Sub=Subtitled B&W=Black and White Ws=Wide screen Fs=Full Screen aka=Also Known As AC3=Audio Codec 3 (like Dolby) CHK=originally included Checkpoint Anti-theft device Spec=Special Edition Unct=Uncut BTB=Blacker Than Black (shows enhanced black colors if your dvd player and TV support it) WTW=Whiter Than White (see above) Keepcase=normal DVD case PBS=Produced by Public Broadcasting System SBS=Produced by the Australian version of PBS Std=Standard or Full-screen Steelbook=Premium DVD case COLL=Collector's Edition Slim=A thinner DVD case Hope this helps! |
