The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Django

Companeros

The Magnificent Seven

The Outlaw Josey Wales

Anybody know any westerns (movies or books) with a sci-fi edge, like the Firefly series?

Thanks for all the posts. So what do you think? Anyone feeling cramped by only being able to choose their top 5? I changed several of my other posts to Top 10s. Do we need to do that here?

Magnificent Seven just came out on Blu-ray with solo packaging if anyone is interested. It was out in Blu-ray already but only as a 4-pack with it's 3 "lesser" sequels. Now it is available individually. I just picked up a copy at Target for $9.99. Looking forward to seeing it again.

Finally got around to watching the remake of True Grit (2010) with Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, and an incredible performance by the then 14-year old Hailee Steinfeld, (yes both the character she played as well as the actress herself). This may very well be the first movie I have ever seen where the remake is not only as good, but I would argue even better than the original. And I really liked the original. Kudos once again to the Coen brothers. Highly recommended if you haven't had a chance to see it yet.
