no picture doesnt mean anything, just means swap doesnt have it in their database provider

If a title says Rental Ready they were rental copies. These turn up from rental stores that buy them in bulk, sometimes before they are released elsewhere, and usually, but not always, are from their rental stock. I don't mind "rental ready" if they're a nice, clean copy, but a lot of them are unpostable. Since I buy from Hastings I've found that about half post fine (and do not indicate rental ready) and others are unpostable. Also they often have "Rental Ready" on both the artwork and the disc, some more obnoxious than others. Blockbuster (BB) tend to be on the obnoxious end, but read "Blockbuster Exclusive" at the top of the artwork in blue and yellow and generally have a blue label on top of the disc that also reads "BB Exclusive." Others have smaller bands only at the bottom of the art where it is less intrusive. I worry when one will post fine and not indicate a "rental ready" copy because you never know if someone would order it if they knew ahead of time. Maybe someone else knows more about this than I do, but I've had brand new copies turn up rental ready or unpostable. They often do not show the cover art either even though a movie is in the database, but since we post by UPC, the UPC can be off by the final two digits and you won't see the art. |

Sometimes "rental ready" discs don't have all the special features that the regular version has. In my experience, most DO have the special features. But if they are important to you, you should ask the sender to make sure. Last Edited on: 3/7/12 1:00 AM EST - Total times edited: 1 |

yes, i mentioned it in the thread i linked ;-) I find almost all questions are already answered with just a quick search (after all, I found it on the first try, but I knew that there had already been a thread about it) |
