I got this email Unfortunately, the DVD Reindeer Games Directors Cut that you sent has been lost in the mail. We have given your account credit for mailing the DVD. We understand it is not your fault if the post office loses your DVD. FYI, the top 2 reasons a DVD gets designated as lost in the mail are: 1)too little tape used to wrap the DVD and, 2)mailing the DVD after the reported mail date.
how do i send a email to the requestor that the dvd was delivered and they have to talk to the PO about where it is? |

I would use the contact us link. The package was clearly delivered 18 days ago and the receiving member just didn't mark it received. Last Edited on: 1/25/08 11:08 AM EST - Total times edited: 1 |

Actually, it only means that it was delivered somewhere in Wakefield, RI -- it may or may not have gotten to the correct address. |

That's true, it could have been mis-delivered.
Documentation from the Help Center: Title: If a DVD you sent hasn't been marked received yet...
If you sent the DVD with Delivery Confirmation and it has been recorded as delivered by USPS but hasn't been marked received yet:

Personally I would PM the receiver first. Go into your Transaction Archive link on your My Account Page and you can click the little down arrow next to his/her name and click Private Message from there. A friendly, "Hey, the PO says the DVD was delivered x date, I just want to make sure you received it. Please be sure to mark it received so neither of us have a "Lost" status on our records, if you have it. Otherwise, you might want to check with your PO to see what happened and file a Stolen Mail report. Thanks" It is still possible that even though it says it was received that it wasn't actually received by the Requester. Somtimes the scans are done before the items leave the PO in the morning (my PO does this), and not when it is actually placed in the recipient's box. The carrier could have accidently placed it in the wrong box (it happens), or it could have been stolen out of the proper box before the Requester got it. If the recipient doesn't mark it mailed or respond in a timely manner after the PM, THEN I'd contact the founders. But that's me. ETA: Okay, you posted again while I was composing. So, there it is. Right I just had this happen over at PBS, I waited a week after details said it was delivered and then PM'ed the person. Sure enough she had it, just had a lot of books delivered and missed it. It happens, also maybe the person was not home that day maybe a neighbor has it and forgot or something similar... |

Yvette, you can go to your transactions page and find the transaction from there. There is an option to mark it received. |

got this today, The member that you shipped your DVD 'Reindeer Games [Director's Cut]' to has sent you this personal message. My neighbor was away for (1) month and when they came home this was in their mail tubs from the PO. Sorry about the delay in marking it received! thanks so much . |

Does it hurt you in some way to have a lost DVD on your record?? Just curious. |

I think that the odd one is okay, but if your account shows a pattern of lost DVD's then TPTB will investigate. I know thats how it works over at PBS. |
