Topic: Out for Delivery - unknown PC, OF, and DX

I sent out The Fat Boy Chronicles and it says Out for Delivery on the USPS website, but this is what it says on Swapadvd -
The Out for Delivery is from yesterday morning. What could be going on? |

It takes time for the SAD site to update tracking information. This is not unusual at all for the 2 sites to show something different. Stick with the USPS information. |

It is also the weekend, things may not be updated. I have a PO box, it will say Out for Delivery and then notice left until I pick it up, but I can't pick it up over the weekend. :O) |

The PC, OF, DX stand for things like sorted for truck, loaded on truck, removed from truck and being carried by mail carrier (if walking route), blah, blah. My carrier said he has to scan them "everytime I move them 2 feet" |

I have one that is showing the same " Unknown DX" and "Unknown + other codes" on the Swapa DC details, and on the USPS site, it is showing that is was "Out for Delivery" on AUGUST 30! That was two weeks ago! Did it not get scanned when delivered? Did the person not pick it up? Is it still riding around in the truck? I did "Quick Credit," so I have been credited for these movies, but I still am waiting and wondering what happened to them. I sent the receiver a PM, but got no response. Resurrecting an old thread, aren't we :) PC - Sorting Complete OF - Out For Delivery DX - Delivery Status Not Updated (and FYI ... 01 - Delivered) So, when a PC-OF-DX sequence occurs, either the package was delivered but not scanned when delivered, or has yet to be delivered. The DX event is generated automatically when an 01 fails to follow an OF within a certain time frame (don't know what that time frame is). Maybe the weather was bad, maybe a substitute carrier was on duty, etc. In most cases, the package will be delivered the next day. It's rare that the carrier makes but fails to scan the delivery - and in some places packages are scanned as delivered before they even go out with the carrier (the postmaster's bonus is tied to items being scanned and delivered promptly, you know - too many DX events gets them in hot water). |

Hi Michele, Did you use tracking through the site or from the PO? If you used it through the site, you should have received your credit when you first mailed. You can check that in your credit registry. If you got it through the PO, how long has it been since it was delivered? It may have been delivered to a PO box, or an apartment office. It can take a few days to open the packages and check the dvds. If it has been a few days, have you PMed the other member? If you PM the other member and get no response for 5 days, you can contact the team. This time of year, I always check to see if their account is on vacation hold - they may be out of town.
