A transaction I recently shipped reached the recipient with a postage-due charge. I'm not sure what had caused the mix-up -- I had shipped the DVD from a PO and the PO calculated the charge -- but the recipient has asked if I could reimburse them for the charge. I wholeheartedly agree that reimbursement is fair, but I haven't figured out how to actually transfer the money. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

It looks like I can easily transfer credits -- the directions for that are quite clear -- but I'm not seeing any obvious options for transferring money.

You can't transfer money. You can transfer a credit or you can send them money thru paypal.
