I'm not spending $8 to send a dvd when media mail is $2.50. How to print the wrapper with media mail postage on it? |

Brian: In the Help Center, under Getting and Sending DVDs... / Sending DVDs, there are pages with complete instructions. What is the weight of the DVD you are sending? I would imagine anything costing $8 to send would be quite heavy (relatively speaking). If you buy postage printed on the wrapper, it should automatically calculate the cheapest option, which is Media Mail except for all but very light packages. |

First of all, you need to have swap funds available in your account. If you have not added swap $, you need to add funds to print postage labels. When you go to print the shipping label with postage, all you need to do is click the "button" to the left of where it says postage can be added to your label. Note that swap also adds a .50 cent fee to that postage, and all postage costs are calculated by the weight. Single disc movies are generally 4 oz. and double disc movies are 5 but can weight more, it depends on the case; and older cases and discs seem to weigh more. On up to 4 oz., you can change the label to First Class shipping. Anything over that should be mailed Media Mail, up to 1#. By the way, Media Mail (up to 1#) is $2.66. Shipping a 4 oz dvd is also 2.66 + 50 cent fee to swap. The least expensive shipping (for the single 4 oz dvd) is PayPal shipping @ 2.66. You can save that 50 cent fee by printing and using the regular address label (the default) and mailing at the PO for $2.66 Media on up to 1#. Postage Costs Media Mail up to 1 lb will be $2.66 First Class Package Service up to 4 oz will be $2.66 (if you purchase online) (add 50 cents if purchased on swap) Retail First Class Parcel up to 4 oz will be $3.50 (This is what you'd pay at the PO!)
