When Harry Met Sally (love this movie)

The Princess Bride (a classic) :-)

Shag was actually filmed in Myrtle Beach, SC, and a couple of my classmates in High School were extras in the film!
It was a good movie, too...

I think my favorite was The Whole Nine Yards. It was hilarious!

There are 2 versions of Rebecca.  An old black and white with Laurence Olivier by Alfred Hitchcock and then there is the A&E long version  with Diana Rigg and Emilia Fox.

Its the story of a young girl (you never know her first name) who falls in love and marries the wealthy MAxim de Winderin France.   She is the total opposite of his first  wife  the beautiful Rebecca who died mysteriously. They go back to live in his huge mansion Manderley with tons of servants including the sinister housekeeper Mrs Danvers who is not happy with this new marriage.   She wants Rebecca's memory to live on....

I liked both versions but the Alfred Hitchcock was better.  You never see Rebecca in Alfred Hitchcock's version which is nice because it leaves her appearance to your imagination.  But you do see just Rebecca's eyes and her mouth in the A&E version.   A&E is 176 min long.  Hitchcock's is 130 min.

I wish Hollywood would make a new version.

So many fantastic movies already listed. Here are a few I enjoy in addition:

Forget Paris

Benny & Joon

High Fidelity

The American President (just love Annette Benning in this!)

Annie Hall

Chasing Amy

The Importance of Being Earnest

CrusinSusan (Susan G.)

The Forsythe Saga

Pride and Prejudice (Colin Firth)

Sense and Sensibility (Kate Winlet, Hugh Grant)

Princess Bride

Unsinkable Molly Brown (Debbie Reynolds)

Jane Eyre

Rebecca (Joan Fontaine)

7 Brides for 7 Brothers (Howard Keel, Jane Powell)

Wurthering Heights

Kate and Leopold

While you were Sleeping

Sleeping in Seattle

I would love 50 First Dates if they cut out the trashy parts. It could have been a really sweet movie, but I hate the crude jokes that cheapen the film -- get rid of the creepy lady with the braids, the Hawaiin guy with the bad eye, and alas, Sean Astin -- who I absolutely adored in Lord of the Rings, Rudy, Goonies, and many other movies.
