I'm here!  Good thing we can transfer credits from PBS and SACD!  I don't have many DVD's to part with, although someone did get my Little Einsteins today!

Sharon - did you know that Cosmeo has a TON of Standard Deviants videos?  It's $9.95/mo or $99/year and WELL worth it!  Not only are the SD videos on there, but also other Discovery Channel shows like Mythbusters.  It also includes Nutshell Math, which makes it worth it, IMO.

They have a free one-month trial.  We've been members for over two years.

Cosmeo requires high speed internet..... I'm still in the stone ages of dial up.

Hey - we don't do cosmeo, but we have United Streaming.  It is free in Ga, LA, and I don't know where all else.
It is all the movie content that goes INTO Cosmeo and it also has lesson plans, worksheets, stuff like that.

Kristi, how did you find out United Streaming was free where you are?  Looks like a great program.

Hello all! I'm looking for Reading Mastery Plus books and teacher presentation materials. I'd be willing to trade credits DVD or PBS if you have any. Looking for all levels. Hope someone can help me out! Thx, Rita.

If you want to know about united streaming - I'd just call them.  That's what I did and they told me it was free in GA and how to get it all set up.

If it isn't free where you are, cosmeo is probably the cheapest bet to get the content.

http://www.homeschoolbuyersco-op.org/unitedstreaming-faqs/ might help with more info - a lot of people have been PMing me about it.

Note that page says it is free in GA, LA, and AL.

Home schooler here as well.

I have been looking and waiting on the Nature Videos.. my kids love em.  We just got "The Bear" from goodwill and I was thinkin I could sell it here and they really like that DVD even with the cute lil bear going through his drama!

Hi all!

I am homeschooling in Columbia MD. I teach an Interactive Shakespeare class and a Classics Movie/ Literature Discussion class for about a dozen high school homeschoolers.  So, I will be passing some of those along. Hoping to find some FUN things in return :)

Many of my educational DVDs are not listed yet so they will have to wait or hit e-bay. Also the true teacher/educational materials I have are mostly VHS so they won't do me any good here either :(

Hi I'm a homeschooler in Germany (U.S. Air Force family)!  :)  The educational DVDs I listed are already all gone, though I can't say I really had a lot.  We rely heavily on Netflix and local libraries if/when we want to incorporate movies/videos into our educational experiences.

Anyway, nice to meet you all!

Patti
