To Mark a DVD Mailed:

  • Log into SwapaDVD

  • Go to My Account
    • Click My Account in the toolbar at the top of any page on the site
    • Locate the DVD transation on the "DVDs to Mail" tab
      • *scroll down if necessary to see this*
      • *the DVDs to Mail tab may be "hiding" behind other tabs on your My Account page - click the DVDs to Mail tab to go to that tab.
  • Click on the transaction for the DVD
  • This will move the transaction into the category of DVDs I've Mailed
    • You can view this category by clicking the tab "DVDs I've Mailed" in My Account.

Marking a DVD mailed before the deadline to do so is essential to prevent the transaction from being canceled.

  • Your deadline to mark a DVD mailed appears in red on the transaction for the DVD on your "DVDs to Mail" tab in My Account
    • The deadline will be 11:00 PM ET, 5 days after the acceptance date if you click "I can mail within two days" when accepting the request
    • The deadline will be 11:00 PM ET, 2 days after the alternate mail-by date you choose if you click "I can mail LATER" when accepting the request
  • You will receive reminder emails from SwapaDVD telling you to mark your DVD mailed if you forget to do this
    • If you click "I can mail within two days" and do not mark your DVD mailed by the second day, you will get a reminder email on the second day after acceptance, and another early in the AM of the deadline day.
    • If you click "I can mail LATER" you will get a reminder email early in the morning of the deadline day.
    • To prevent getting these reminder emails, always mark your DVD mailed before the reminder emails will be triggered, as above.

A DVD must be mailed within 48 hours of marking it mailed

  • It is okay to mark your DVD mailed before you have mailed it if:

    • The deadline date falls on a postal holiday
    • Your computer/Internet access is unreliable
    • You plan to mail the DVD on your way out of town
  • It is not okay to mark your DVD mailed and delay mailing it for longer than 48 hours
    • We understand that sometimes circumstances interfere with prompt mailing!  But this should not be a habit.
    • If your mailing is delayed, you must inform the requestor as soon as possible, so that she doesn't think the DVD is lost in the mail if it was merely mailed late.
    • To contact the requestor from a DVD transaction: click or on the transaction, to send a Personal Message.
