Not a lot, but some of the cartoons have racial undertones. And a few are just out right racist, ie 'UNCLE TOM & LITTLE EVA'

This set has alot of old cartoons: Casper, Popeye, Betty Boop, Philix the Cat, Woody Woodpecker,Three Stooges...Will keep you entertained for a long time. The cover is not the right one.Superman not on the cover or any of the cartoons that I know of.
There are NO Superman cartoons on these disks. Wonderful, vintage cartoons.

Great Classics
Kimberly Ann Ramos | Rhode Island USA | 11/15/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I have this DVD and it is a great addition to our collection. My 4 year old daughter prefers them to anything else. I loved them as a child and now I find myself glued to the TV when I have them on for my daughter."
Giggles

(4 out of 5 stars)

"I purchased this tape for the little kids next door and it was fun listening to them giggle and watching them dance."
Watermarked and cropped to letterbox (4:3)
ÜberCliché | Norway | 08/03/2008
(2 out of 5 stars)

"Some of the films are watermarked with an ugly logo (imo a sacrilege). Also all films have been chopped and cropped to fit the standard 4:3 letterbox-TV.

I find the selection of films a little strange. Wasn't this supposed to be classics? Of course Betty Boop and Popye can be called classics, but there's some obscure stuff in there, including clay animations(!). Early clay animations may of course be of interest to many, but it was certainly not something I expected, and I don't think you can call the clay animations *cartoon* classics."
