This is a must see for families and people of all ages because it such a beautiful story of family and fortitude. Well written and surprisingly well acted for a mostly unknown cast, The Adventures of The Wilderness Family was filmed in 1975 and spawned a couple of sequels. Some of the family’s experiences seemed somewhat unbelievable but this is supposed to be “based on a true story” and is well worth watching.  Marla W. This is a story of family togetherness, they can do anything as long as they're together. It's a story of survival, love and laughter. There are some intense moments though that may be tough for younger viewers though, like when Jenny gets chased by a pack of wolves, and a bear, etc. Something's always chasing that poor asthmatic girl! 2 of 3 member(s) found this review helpful.
