"A wonderful, and for the first time in DVD, complete concert.
This, together with the OHNE FILTER In Concert from 1999, are the best America DVD's. Skip the Central Park DVD due to terrible sound quality."

"AMERICA does 24 songs live, the sound & vocals are just fabulous. This disk contains an extra special ALL MY LIFE performance by GERRY BECKLEY. AMERICA has been making music for over 30 years & they continue to record & tour - and they love their work and it shows. The interview is one of the best ever, GERRY & DEWEY's intellectual side is brought out in the discussions about life in the music business. GERRY just released his 2nd solo HORIZONTAL FALL (a real gem) & AMERICA will release a new CD in the fall under the Sony label Burgundy."

"I have been an America fan since the release in 1972 of the self titled America album. They chose to start a majoirity of their album titles with an H if you noticed, starting with Homecoming. What happend to America? After 33 years they sould even better than ever despite th absence of Dan Peek. Gerry's voice has improved with age. Dewey's voice was a little weak, but overall he handled his part well. They included several choice albums cuts, i.e. Company, Three Roses, Woman Tonight along with all of their big hits. The sound is aweseome. Great band complements Gerry and Dewey's outstanding guitar work. They have always been acknowledged for their singing and writing, but their skills on the guitar shine on this DVD. Opening with Riverside and closing with the required A Horse With No Name, you are treated to an outstanding performance. The only negative critique that I have is that on Woman Tonight, the song itself has three different tempos and sounds strange, however they pull it off without even the vocals of Dan Peek. Great DVD with over 2 and a half hours of sure greatness. I have been waiting for 20 years for "the" America DVD. Here it is. Buy it. Enjoy it. You will not be disappointed."
A must for america fans

"This DVD came to me as a birthday present for my 46th year this past December. And of all the presents I got this is the one I am enjoying the most! Great venue and song selection. The musical arrangments in America's songs take my breath away.
It all (re)started a couple of years ago when my boyfriend joined a music club where one gets like 10 CDs for a buck. One of the selections he chose was America's Greatest Hits. I was reminded both of how much I loved and missed the music. I went online to the band's website and have started been keeping track of them ever since. Thus began a reunion with myself and the band's music and I have been happy ever since.
We are sort of news junkies around here but with all the depressing stuff on TV nowadays I have started putting the America DVD in the player instead of tuning into the nightly news during dinner hour and you know...what a nice way to begin the evening!
Now all I need to do is get tickets to see the show when the band comes to Pennsylvania later this year. Oh yeah, and get a copy of the America 2001 concert, hey-why not?!
