An absolutely hilarious tongue-in-cheek movie about a giant spider terrorizing LA. The military is responsible of course. I never really understood the term "phoning it in" until I saw this movie. Patrick Bauchau did so in this movie. Usually playing a suave, sophisticated James-Bond type, he is here miscast as a grouchy scientist. He's barely acting while the rest of the cast is incredibly earnest. This is not a criticism - I bowled over double with laughter the 5 or 6 times I've seen this already. Not to be missed. They got it just right. Bring popcorn.

Los Angeles is under attack from a... well, from a big-ass Spider, and it's up to an exterminator and his security-guard sidekick to help the military get rid of it. A very funny, tongue in cheek horror spoof that was a cut above the usual SyFy channel schlock.
