This flick reminded me of Open Water.
2 honeymooners decide to take a trail ride in the Grand Canyon.
It has a very depressing survival theme.
The quality of the movie is excellent.
The acting is superb and I like that they use real animals (not fake CGI).
However, the plot goes south during the movie and you don't have a good feeling when it is done.

This movie isn't too bad. Some good performances, but it is definitely one of those that you watch people doing so many dumb things you really find it hard to cheer for them. This is not really a horror movie so much as it is a survival movie. The situation in the movie feels very real and I did like that about the flick. If you don't expect a lot, you may find this movie worthwhile.

The Canyon

"This movie I watched a couple months ago. I still remember it very well. Makes me wounder what I would do in that situation? Its a get you buy the back of the neck, on the edge of your seat thrill ride. I was afraid to blink that i would miss something. This is one of those movies that didn't stay in the theaters long and alot of people missed a joyride of a movie. I highly recommend it."
NOT SO GRAND CANYON

"PROS:
*Strong performances from Yvonne Strahovski and Eion Bailey
*Beautiful scenery
*Tense wolf scenes
CONS:
*Will Patton's role too short
*Tedious at times
*Characters stupid decisions
*Preposterous ending---why no CPR?
*Misleading promo as a "horror" movie
SUMMARY: Performances save an otherwise routine movie."
