I went into this movie hearing all of the bad talking about it thinking "you people don't know what you are talking about" I LOVE super hero movies ... and I even bought Dare Devil ....

This movie is very irritating for me, because of the 1,000 different ways that it could and should have gone instead of what they did... they have an AWESOME cast, Benjamin Bratt basically reprises his role from Miss Congeniality, which is made more irritating because he is completely unbelievable. Halle Berry, after seeing her in Gothika I though "YES!" and after seeing this I thought "NO!" and Sharon Stone ... she has never had a performance fall flat ... until now.

I can't blame these actors because they have done so well in other movies, which means the blame has to fall on the heads of the writers (some of those lines were so strained or cheesy they made me wince) and the directors ... please don't EVER make another movie.

Skip this movie ... it isn't worth the investment of time even if you get it for free. Run and Hide, this movie flat sucks.

This movie was terrible...

"...and I loved every minute of it.

I went into this movie as a not expecting much - but hoping to be entertained and I was. The movie was bright, colorful and camp as Christmas.

Like the other reviewers said - it has nothing to do with the comic lore - but if you can get past that and want to see a cheesy super "hero" movie - then go for it.

I had a good time and sometimes that's all you want from a movie."
Yet another abuse of a licensed character

"What is worse than Joel Schumacher dooming the Batman movie series? Yet another movie "based" on Batman comics in which all those involve refuse to read a single comic book. At least Artisan and New Line paged through some comic lore before making movies based on Marvel characters. How can they expect a movie called Catwoman, without Selena Kyle, not set in Gotham, and no sign of any Batman character whatsoever, to do anything but BOMB?!! This halfhearted attempt to ressurect the Batman series can only fail because the plot and characters have absolutely nothing to do with the Batman series!! I had hoped with success of Spider-Man and X-Men (movies in which characters were researched) this kind of abuse of character licenses was a thing of the past. Apparently I was wrong. WB stick with Justice League & Batman Beyond. PLEASE!!"
Better than its reputation

"It was a good, entertaining comic-book movie. Maybe comic-book flicks are supposed to be really deep nowadays, but this definitely isn't. It is entertaining and silly, though. It didn't deserve to get raked over the coals - its actually not bad."
