5/5 Rating - Fried Green Tomatoes - This started out slow while you figured out the plotline and then it took off. Kathy Bates, Mary Stuart Masterson and Mary-Louise Parker shine in this as do other actors/actresses. A must watch! 5/5 Rating - The Coal Miner's Daughter - A classic with both excitement and sadness. Sissy Spacek and Tommy Lee Jones shine in this. The plotline is slow but this is well worth the watch! 4/5 Rating - Smokey and the Bandit - A classic that is just fun to watch again. A must for Burt Reynolds, Jackie Gleason and Sally Field fans! Burt Reynolds is at his best! 4/5 Rating - The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas - Burt Reynolds, Dolly Parton and Don Deluise shine in this. This movie is based on true chicken ranch events and character Melvin P. Thorpe is based on Houston's very own and great Marvin "Slime in the ice machine" Zindler. A must watch but not for young audiences... |
