Review of Defying Gravity TV series
EX network watcher | 09/20/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is an exceptional show. The writing was fantastic, the acting excellent. The story line had GREAT potential but as is usually the case with pretty much any SciFi show, the series was cancelled before it had a chance to take root and flourish.

This show had the potential to be as influential a TV show that Star Trek was back in the '60s. SO many of today's engineers (my coworkers anyways) had their early engineering curiosity sparked by Star Trek. THIS show had the makings of that kind of influence and should have been continued. Greed and short-sightness being the bottom line at the networks these days caused the series to be cut short of a second season but the season that DId make it to production is still worth watching.

These days, it seems the only shows that make it on the networks are cop shows and reality shows. BOTH have been overdone in my opinion. It's no wonder the networks are scrambling to survive. In that scramble, they seem to be assuring their own demise.

Anyways, DG season one is definitely worth the watch. Go for it. You'll hunger for more afterwards."

"Hey People, I just finished watching the entire first season of "Defying Gravity", which was cancelled after 6 Episodes, and all I can say is it was a big mistake made by the Network Executives. This show put "Lost" to shame, even though it was a touch slow getting started in the first few episodes. Had this show continued into the second season, the network would have been touting it's praises. Such a loss for us viewers. If you haven't seen it, by all means do, you'll be filled with wonder, and amazement, in addition to being entertained. Shelby"
