Movie Reviews
Larry Pierce finally on DVD!

"Dirty Country is a documentary about Larry Pierce, a factory worker from Indiana. Larry writes and sings hilarious and very raunchy country songs. He sent a demo tape to an independent music company and they started distributing Larry's CDs to truck stops across the U.S. Larry now has a devoted following and has appeared on several radio shows like Howard Stern and Red Peters.
The film was shown at several festivals, sometimes accompanied by a live performance by Larry. As a bonus, the DVD includes some of Larry's live footage.
I am a huge fan of Larry's music and have been anxiously waiting for the release of this DVD. If you appreciate raunchy humor and great country music, buy this now!"
Oh My, and Oh Yea!

"I thought this movie was awesome!! It should screen at every college in America. It makes me see the Midwest in a whole new way.
I think Larry's wife says it all when she says, "We all think this stuff, Larry just says it."
This film just puts it all out there, and it is ultimately a very inspirational film about sticking with your dreams, and finding out what the world brings your way. A great slice of Americana!
Come to think of it, everyone should have at least 1 Larry CD for those late night after parties - kids in bed, and the neighborhood in your garage.
I can now say I like some Country Music!!"
I Feel Dirty

"It is a good feeling after being outside all day, playing football with your buddies, working in the yard or riding a four-wheeler on a muddy day. The feeling of being dirty. After watching DIRTY COUNTRY, I felt dirty in a whole other way. The kind of dirty you feel when you enjoyed something that maybe you shouldn't have. The kind of dirty when you laugh at a joke you know you are not supposed to. Bring me more Larry Pierce, Blowfly, and Doug Clark's Hot Nuts. DIRTY COUNTRY does not hide anything and the vocabulary is slang and in your face. Enjoy getting dirty. Dirty Country"
Beyond the Raunch

"It's dirty, it's raunchy and it's full of wildly hilarious, CATCHY musical debauchery. And yet, while the initial thinking behind every Larry Pierce truck stop tune is, ultimately, sex, the film is also strangely moving in its ability to grab audience attention by sending a message that runs deeper than sex. Touching upon core fundamental American values and the struggles that families go through, Dirty Country shows Larry Pierce not as unlike the rest of us as one might think."
Hail, Hail the First Ammendment!

"Free speech baby. That's what this documentary is all about. For who knows just how banned Larry Pierce, John Valby, Blowfly, and the other purveyors of musicial mischief profiled in DIRTY COUNTRY would be if it weren't for the first ammendment. Lots of hilarious and insightful moments, and even a few that are suprisingly touching. Highlights include lots of dirty, toe-tapping tunes, Larry's mom enjoying a most unusual birthday cake, and one song that manages to rhyme the word, no joke, scrotum. Enjoy it with a few cocktails, or better yet, a case of Old Milwaukee. Adults only."
