A hidden treasure among movies. Great script and Jeff Bridges does a wonderful job as the lost writer. Some GREAT animal (dog) scenes too. I laughed out loud many times and cried a little too.

If you have never read the book, you will love this movie. However, for Jon Katz fans who have read a Dog Year, there are a lot of disappointments.

I really liked this movie. Adults and children will enjoy it. If you are an animal lover or not, this would be worth watching. There were periods of laughs and periods of sadness.
