Another Excellent Homespun Production!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is a great DVD to simply learn the songs. Happy Traum is a natural teacher who moves slowly, anticipates the difficult parts, encourages you to pause the DVD and practice, and brings you along to learning some great fingerpicking favorites. He is a master player and a patient teacher. Homespun's production is clear, up close, and uses two cameras to help you see clearly the right and left hand. This DVD is a lot of fun and I use it as part of a "course" of learning to fingerpick. See other titles by Traum, especially "Easy Steps to Guitar Fingerpicking" Volumes 1 and 2. Here also, he takes the student on a journey, and skillfully works like a builder, setting a good foundation, and then putting one stone upon another. But along the journey, you find you learn songs, which is encouraging, only to learn later, how much fun it is to take those songs you've learned, and begin to "dress them up" with some of Happy's tricks of the trade. Another great DVD from Homsepun."
