With actors like Bela Lugosi and John Carradine you won't want to watch these in the dark lol. Very good.

Four Movies For A Low Price
Robert Meeks | Winchester, KY United States | 07/25/2004
(3 out of 5 stars)

"This DVD (a single DVD) contains four movies: 1) 'Silent Night, Bloody Night' 1973; Color; Patrick O'Neal, Mary Woronov; 2) 'Scared To Death' 1947; Color; Bela Lugosi, Joyce Compton; 3) 'Good Against Evil' 1977; Color; Dack Rambo, Dan O'Herlihy; 4) 'Just Before Dawn' 1980; Color; Deborah Benson, Chris Lemmon, Gregg Henry, George Kennedy. I should point out that the quality of the DVD is not high, but for 4 movies at this price, I am not complaining. The reason I got this DVD was for 'Just Before Dawn' which is the first time, of which I am aware, that this movie has been available on DVD or in any release since the Paragon release on VHS. Unfortunately the print they used for the DVD is missing a scene. The missing scene has Uncle Ty (yes, still drunk) making it to Ranger Roy's cabin to inform him about the killer; just in case you were wondering why Roy began looking for the campers. The skinny dipping scene is also trimmed. The missing part has the killer walking out of the waterfall and descending into the lake; he is underwater copping a feel of the girl; she thinks it is her boyfriend until she sees him climbing out of the water; she freaks and gets out quickly; it is assumed that it was a fish. The missing part of the skinny dipping scene does not take anything from the movie. Even with the missing scene of Uncle Ty, most will assume he is the reason Ranger Roy is searching for the campers. 'Just Before Dawn' is a take-off of 'The Hills Have Eyes'. Just before dawn has an excellent cast, in particular is a great performance by Deborah Benson as the lead heroine. The killer is an interesting twist based on a little known anomaly of breeding. It is too bad that 'Just Before Dawn' fell into obscurity. This DVD gives an opportunity to see this movie even though the print quality is not very high. Had the print quality been higher and complete, I would have rated this DVD at five stars.-Bob UPDATE: In seeing this volume in a store recently, I noticed the the current version has replaced 'Just Before Dawn' with Mario Bava's 'Kill, Baby, Kill". Since this means there are two variations of this volume, you could get either one; however, the one with 'Kill, Baby, Kill' does appear to be the most current.-Bob"

"Four movies on one disc
Horror Classics Vol. 5 - Platinum Disc ID#12279

#1: Silent Night, Bloody Night - 1973 - Director: Theodore Gershuny

#2: Scared to Death - 1947 - Director: William Christy Cabanne

#3: Good Against Evil - 1977 - Director: Paul Wendkos

#4: Kill, Baby Kill - 1966 - Director: Mario Bava

All in all; decent picture, decent sound. Nothing special, but menus all seem to work and thats rare for cheap compilation DVD's.
These movies are available individually from amazon, so you can see actual reviews and movie details if you search for the title under DVD's."
