Movie Reviews

Something's missing.

"Before people buy this they should know it is primarily a DVD for cancer patients- and, as someone who's been a Christian for 40+years now, I felt it was missing something. Because so many cancer patients are covered in the DVD, more time is given to their sad situations than is the message of hope in Christ, which I thought was the whole purpose of the DVD.
For someone like me, who listens to people and has a difficult time not internalizing the sufferings of others, this DVD is depressing. I hesitated to say that in this review, but it is true. I would have rather heard more from fewer patients, than the short snippets that were difficult to follow. It seemed they all would have been willing to talk more about their relationships with Christ- which would have made the whole experience so much more uplifting, but instead the editors apparently decided to limit the talk about Jesus to a very minimum.
I was reviewing this for a friend to whom I was going to recommend it. I'm glad I saw it first- because I'm pretty sure it would have made him feel worse.
