Movie Reviews

Old creepy film
Zachary B. Hoddy | SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH United States | 01/14/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"i remember this movie when i was about 12 years old playing on HBO. i thought it was so scary, when it refers to the bandits that kidnapped the girl "rachel", and killed her parents, and then "rachel" dissapears, and then a century later "rachel" haunts the dreams of a little girl. there were some creepy scenes in this film, but also funny moments like the two idiot convicts, (the fat one especially) "what about breakfast?", anyway, this one wasn't oscar worthy or anything, but overall, it was good family entertainment. quite enjoyable. i was quite excited that it came on dvd finally. i never thought it would because it wasn't something extraordinary, but the vhs copy on ebay was going for top dollar, so this was nice to be able to have the digital quality on dvd for a cheap price."
1980's Flashback
Yeah Pretty Much | Hollywood, CA USA | 03/29/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This movie is amazing. It's completely cheeseball and definitely from the 1980's era. But I loved it as a kid and I still love it today. Glad to see it finally on DVD. A great, clean, family, mystery movie for kids."
A Good Movie To Have In Your DVD Library
Gatorman 1973 | Tampa, FL USA | 02/09/2009
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I remember this movie on cable as well and recorded it on VHS from there years ago on HBO and still have the tape in good shape. It was nice to see it finally come to DVD. However, when the DVD was released, there were a few parts left out of the original, shortening the film about 9 minutes total. I don't know why this was done. The sound is definitely better but the picture quality is about the same. If you saw both versions of the movie, HBO and DVD, you would see what I mean. This is a pretty good movie and I would definitely get this one on DVD since it has been discontinued by the manufacturer and you might never be able to get it once they are all sold out. I own lots of movies on DVD and VHS as well and this is really the most noticable one with parts cut out of the original version but the DVD version will definitely be more durable than a copy on VHS. I remember watching this one on cable as a kid back in the 80s' when the movie industry was really booming and this is one of those that you wouldn't forget. I give it a 4 star rating instead of 5 due to this 9 minutes of shortening from the original HBO release."
