Not based on a true story. Had some really good scenes but also some miscasting and common themes that took away from being great. Lots of stars in this.

Three outstanding performances by Stephan James, J.K. Simmons, and Uzo Aduba! You don't have to like or know anything about football to love this movie.

Synopsis: Three days before the college football national championship game, star quarterback, LeMarcus James (Stephan James) and teammate EmmettSunday (Alexander Ludwig) ignite a players strick declaring they won't compete until all student-athletes are fairly compensated. With billions of dollars at risk and legacies on the line, the stakes could not be higher. Now, with only hours until kickoff, the head coach (JK Simmons) and various power brokers must race against the clock to protect or destroy the prevailing collegiate athletics system.
