High Amazon ratings and a fan of Jeff Daniels but could not get into this that was boring.

Smart and quick are two words to describe Newsroom! Probably close to reality when the story needs to get out fast and accurately. Each episode moves along at a rapid pace so hang on and enjoy the trip!

Brilliant, gripping, funny at times and surprisingly educational...this is the kind of television we should all be watching. The series follows a high profile news team through the trials and tribulations of living through and reporting the news. It is as much about how it all affects their lives as the public's. It also chronicles a major shift for this network, from news for entertainment -- to reporting the truth, good or bad...breaking away from the industry trend.

The pace is often breakneck, the dialogue is witty, insightful, honest to the point of heart-wrenching. It didn't take long for me to begin to care about these people, at times much more than I'd like to admit.

There are no one-dimensional characters in this show. If you think you've found one, you need only wait an episode or two.

5 Stars. Highly recommended.
