Member Movie Reviews K. K. (GAMER) Reviewed on 12/12/2022... No remake adds up to the original Elm Street greatness! Brad S. (Snibot) from DALLAS, TX Reviewed on 1/15/2012... This movie could have been cool ... and actually the original was simply awesome... and still has a place of honor in the horror movie hall of fame... I recorded this off of HBO thinking it was the original... I was quite surprised by the poor acting, and lack of imagination ... it was basically the first movie made with new actors ... there were some things that they brought new into the film, such as the blogs, which did make it a little cooler, but overall skip this remake and get the original ... A New Nightmare was SO much better take on making the story fresh. Skip it. 1 of 1 member(s) found this review helpful.
Movie ReviewsI AM ETERNAL!!!! Vera Broome | 10/22/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "Before I write my review of the new version, I would like to start off by saying im one of the biggest freddy fans ever. I love every single one of the originals. Yes, this movie wasn't quite as good as the original because it took a lot of the creativity away that the original movie had and not to mention no one can do freddy like robert but jackie did a good job. In all the movie is very awesome and if you are a freddy fan or not and haven't seen this version yet go see it and decide for yourself. Don't listen to the negative reviews because who knows you might like it. Now that being said, if you haven't seen the original, see the original first and then see this one and always remember about the power glove."
