Entertaining sci-fi plot. A real shame it ended since it was setup for another season.

Seeking the chance to build a better future, a group of courageous pioneers departs Earth for Carpathia, a newly discovered planet in a distant galaxy. The group settle in the town of Forthaven, creating a society. Having embraced all the challenges that come with forging a new beginning, the townspeople work hard to preserve what they've built on Carpathia, and even as they long for those left behind, there is optimism about the future. But while they try to learn from mistakes made on Earth, there is no avoiding the human pitfalls of love, greed, lust and loss.

It took me a while to get into it. There was some sad, happy, and high impact parts. The story line seemed to follow several others of its kind. I do not think that it is something for your personal collection but a good watch. I do not think that they intended it to go farther than what it did.

BBC hardcore Scifi post apocalyptic series which aired in 2011. Filmed in South Africa. This show defied many of the usual conventions shoved into Scifi television, and for that, the critics hated it. And so, another great series was shoved back in the can. This series showed much promise and should have been given a chance to develop. It's still worth watching.
