New Pokemon, New Friends, New Adventures

(4 out of 5 stars)

"This DVD contains 5 episodes. A Poached Ego, Tree's a Crowd, A Tail with a Twist, Taming of the Shroomish, and You Said a Mouthful. A Poached Ego - A poacher is on the loose! Ash and friends learn about Pokemon hunter, Rico, from Officer Jenny, and immediately volunteer to help her catch him. Unfortunately, they don't run into him first: Team Rocket does! Arbok and Weezing are set on rescuing the many Ekans and Koffing that the poacher has captured, but Rico and his Tyranitar are too strong. Can they free the Pokemon? Also, James makes a new friend, an overaffectionate Cacnea. Quite a good episode.Tree's a crowd - Ash and friends come into a great forest, inhabited by Treecko! Ash is set on capturing a certain stubborn Treecko. However, Treecko just wants to take care of its home, a huge and ancient tree that seems to be dying. Can they save the tree? This isn't my favorite out of these five, but it's quite good.A tail with a twist - Ash's newly caught Treecko enters a battle with a Seviper to rescue May's Torchic, and is injured in the process. Meanwhile, Jessie has her eye on this Seviper, and is determined to catch it. Treecko then goes out to train alone, bent on defeating that Seviper. Can it achieve its goal? This is very good, and TR's new team - Seviper and Cacnea - quite makes up for the loss of Arbok and Weezing.Taming of the Shroomish - Ash and friends have come into a great city. While Brock and May go shopping, Ash and Max look for Pokemon, and find a lone Shroomish. Brock and May find a creepy old mansion, rumored to be haunted! What connection does this mansion have with the Shroomish? It's pretty good, though not quite as good as the others. You said a mouthful - Ash, Brock, May, and Max now find the "World's most Powerful Pokemon:" a Pelipper! This Pelipper is unusual, able to use fire, grass, and electric attacks, along with water attacks! However, Max finds this Pelipper to be very suspicious, and is determined to uncover its trainer's secret.None of these are at all the best out of what Hoenn has to offer, but they are all very good and will help us wait for such places like Rustboro, Dewford Island, and Slateport City."
Touching and Funny Poke Episodes

"Pokemon Advanced, Vol. 2: Tree's A Crowd contains three episodes and two bonus episodes. These five episodes are 18-22 of the sixth TV season.

Episode 18: A Poached Ego - This episode has Team Rocket finally doing a good deed. A wicked poacher named Rico has captured some baby Koffings and Ekans. Jessie, James, Wheezing, and Arbok fight valiantly to rescue them, with consequences I did not expect, that really made me sad!!!!!! WHAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Episode 19: Tree's A Crowd - A spunky rebel Treeko, a wood gecko Pokemon, wants to protect a dying tree that has been it's only home.

Episode 20: A Tail With a Twist - A big bully Seviper terrorizes Mae's Torchik. Treeko is beaten badly by it, and has to go to a Pokemon center for treatment for a Poison Tail attack. Meanwhile, the Seviper just may have met it's match in Jessie. Much humor in this episode. After the sad, almost tragic first ep in the DVD, I cracked up a lot over the Seviper and it's antics and attitude.

Episode 21: Taming of the Shroomish - A very cute Pokemon called Shroomish holds the clue to rumors of a haunted mansion which is designated for demolition.

Episode 22: You Said a Mouthful - I almost fell over laughing. This episode about a super-powerful Pelipper (Pelican Pokemon) and the greedy Team Rocket who tries to profit off it is great. Pelipper is so cute and funny-looking, I laughed just looking at it."
This movie is too cute!!!

"I am a serious fan of this show! I got this DVD a while ago, but I'm still watching it! There are 5 episodes on this DVD:

1)A Poached Ego
2)Tree's a Crowd (title episode)
3)A Tail with a Twist
Bonus DVD episodes:
1)Taming of the Shroomish
2)You said a mouthful

My thoughts and descriptions:

A Poached Ego~I waited a long time to see this one because I missed it on TV. When I finally got to see it, I cried. What happens is this--There's this poacher dude on the loose and the kids find out by Officer Jenny's warning. But Team Rocket finds the poacher first! In the midst of all this, James meets a Cacnea-which is a very cute poke'mon, might I add-that saves him and Jessie and Meowth from a fleet of Beedrill. I won't give away the rest, but you'll find out why I cried.

Tree's a Crowd~This one I found good for one part-James's Cacnea's debut in front of the kids. (Let me tell you that I am a serious Team Rocket fan. I think they rock!) Ash catches a Treecko, one of the Hoenn starter Poke'mon if you remember.

Tail with a Twist~I liked this one because there were some funny parts in it.(I also love comedy. I mean, come on, who doesn't?) I laughed a lot. Jessie catches a Seviper in this one, but I won't tell you how. (Remember, she only has Wobbuffet-whom I call Wobby-Bobby, and I won't tell you why she only has Wobbuffet-and it can only counterattack its opponents.) Hee-hee!

Now for the bonus episodes (my fingers are getting tired):

Taming of the Shroomish~This one was cool, especially the near-ending part with Team Rocket.(As always, I love Team Rocket!) Basically, the kids are near Rustboro City for Ash's gym battle when they come across the legend of a "haunted mansion". I won't tell you if it really is haunted or not, because I enjoy the surprises of Poke'mon and want you to enjoy them too.

You said a mouthful~This one I didn't go for. I really don't know why. Here's what takes place: the kids find out that this dude says his Pelipper is the strongest one ever. Ash battles it, and finds out some amazing results. What I was surprised by is that Team Rocket got involved in this web in the most unusual way. Will the kids uncover the mystery?

Well that's pretty much it for the summary and my opinions. Overall, it was a great DVD and I hope if you like the show or want to start liking it, you'll buy this DVD. (And maybe you'll like Team Rocket, like me! Even though they always lose, they never give up. Now THAT'S confidence!)"
