Movie Reviews

A critical part of the series, but not as funny
Jane Easterly | Illinois | 12/15/2008
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I have watched the Rozen Maiden series in order. I did not enjoy this set as much as previous ones, but it is still very entertaining and a critical part of the series.

My favorite episode (from a previous DVD set) is the one where Hinaichigo and Jun defend the stairs against Shinku and Suiseiseki. I expected the episode in which Hina mails a letter, part of this set, to be as funny, and it didn't quite meet my expectations. This set of episodes overall is more grim and less comedic. Also, there is a character switch for Souseiseki, and as she is the character I most identify with, it seemed out of character to me. However, the episode in which Kanaria's master redresses all of the dolls in cute lolita wear is very amusing.

If you are a Rozen Maiden fan, there's no question you need to see this set of episodes."
