Movie Reviews

This movie puts daytime soap operas to shame!

"I just love this movie! It was just by chance I caught an episode of it on the Korean channel, which I've never really watched before (don't speak or understand Korean). This is a REAL love triangle where nobodoy really is the bad guy, and you feel for each of the characters. This is a story about where TRUE LOVE should play out, but is put to the test with loyalty and friendship. I'm telling you, I was hooked! You will fall in love with the character played by Kwon Sang Woo. He is a brilliant preformer! All the co-stars are excellent too. There is a hint of comedy through out the episodes to help lighten the mood, which is very refreshing as well. Once you start watching this drama, you will not want it to end, but alas, it must! And let me tell you the ending is SO bitter-sweet! This is a must see! If you are not a fan of Korean drama, "Sad Love Story" will convert you! I know that it did for me!"

"I've always been a fan of Korean movies due to their great story telling but I was never one who was into soap opera or t.v series due the cheesy acting, silly story line and as well as lack of patience. So when I got this as a gift it stayed on my shelf for awhile collecting dust. Boy was I missing out.
When I did start to watch it, because I had nothing else better to do, I was so surprised how great this series was. I was hooked from the first episode. Everyday coming home from work I would put it on and even stayed up a little late just so I can see the following episode.
Now I am an addict to Korean soap opera. I've bought 5 more box sets because of this show and I think I will keep on buying more.
This was a great great show and I recommend it for anyone who is into watcing film or wanting a good story."

"I DO MY HOMEWORK BEFORE BUYING A SET OF DRAMA SERIES BECAUSE SOME OF THEM ARE PRICY. SO FAR I HAVE BEEN PRETTY LUCKY. THIS IS NO DOUBT ONE OF THE BEST . KWON SANG WOO ( STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN) IS JUST SIMPLY ONE OF THE BEST.
THIS IS ONE LOVE STORY YOU MUST SEE. IT IS JUST TOO LONG A STORY FOR ME TO TELL BUT IF YOU LOVE DRAMA WITH LOTS OF TEARS THIS IS FOR YOU."

"As a newcomer to Korean Drama series, I thought this was a beautiful love story where your heart goes out to the three lovers and the pain they go through to find true happiness. The ONLY negative about this movie is the TERRIBLE acting by the non-Korean actors in the film, especially Willy. What a moron!! His acting and those of the US college cheerleaders and students, "cheapen" the movie. Some of the fight scenes are a bit unrealistic also, but totally forgiveable. I just LOVE Kwon Sang Woo, he's quite an actor and when he cries your heart just breaks. The grown-up character Hae-In, is so beautiful and very convincing as a blind person. And the "pigged-tailed" young Hae-In is SOOOO adorable, you can't help but fall in love with her. Young Shu Jong Young is very gallant and protective of Hae-In, after first being so mean to her. The love story that develops between them makes this a great movie!"
