Member Movie Reviews K. K. (GAMER) Reviewed on 8/8/2018... Ask around, this by far was the worse Star Wars movie made to date. Disney botched their second Disney movie made and went against the Lucas grain once again. Had great moments at times but overall it fell short. It is already on Netflix so that should tell you something since other Star Wars movies (first six) have never been on there and this movie showed up pretty quickly. 1 of 1 member(s) found this review helpful. I made it about halfway through and had to turn it off because I was completely bored and disappointed. I love the original Star wars movies and I even thought that The Force Awakens was good. This however was not. Maybe it redeems itself by the end, but the amount of the movie I did watch just made me feel angry that such a groundbreaking movie franchise is being given the Disney treatment and destroying the characters that many of us have grown up knowing and loving. I don't think that any if the new characters in the movie are interesting and much of what I watched was about Finn and Poe and neither of these characters are very interesting. Even Rey is not all that exciting. I think the only character thats new to the franchise who is enjoyable to watch was Kylo Ren and I found myself rooting for the dark side! Maybe it will appeal to a new generation of fans but I don't believe any of this is what George Lucas had in mind for the future of his characters and universe. 2 of 2 member(s) found this review helpful.
