Movie Reviews

Steeped in Mystery
Rebecca Johnson | Washington State | 02/18/2007
(3 out of 5 stars)

"Stonehenge & the Ancient Britons focuses mainly on 3-D computer graphics and speculation about how Stonehenge was built. This DVD also goes into more detail about the initial structures before they built what we see today.

It is amazing to think this is older than the great pyramid at Geza and additional stone circles are presented, although no real explanation is given as to why they were built. The most intriguing aspect was the discussion of the warm bluestone from the Preseli mountains in Wales.

If anything, this DVD presents even more questions and may make you even more curious.

"This dvd is part of a series called Lost Treasures of the Ancient World. This is the second of three that I own. These dvds give a good general overview of the titled topic, in this case Stonehenge. The information is well presented and the computer generated animations are entertaining. If you are looking for just one dvd on Stonehenge this one is a good choice."
