Good film, great expressionist lighting and a sense of the absurd. Though it has more plot holes like Swiss cheese, Welles' film is campy fun, if you like that sort of thing.

1946 film starring Orson Welles, Edward G Robinson and Loretta Young. Wilson is on the hunt for Holocaust mastermind Franz Kindler, who has seemingly erased his identity. Unfortuanately, after Wilson sets Kindler's former comarad Meinike free and tracks him to Harper, Connecticut, he is rubbed out before he can identify Kindler. Now Wilson's only link is Kindler's obsession with antique clocks, and the past is closing in.
