Movie Reviews

Possibly The Rock's best period creatively
Jonathan E. Lickness | Worthington, MN USA | 04/17/2002
(4 out of 5 stars)

""Know Your Role," The Rock's first personality tape, covers possibly the height of his creative brilliance. I have a couple of friends who believe that The Rock's character, combined with his exemplary working skills, was best utilized as a heel. This video might be the proof.
The Rock's first three WWF championship runs are covered in detail on this personality tape - the first of which being one of the greatest angles in the history of the WWF, his defection to the Corporation. His I-Quit match with Mankind (of which Mick Foley is still angry about), perhaps the most brutal match in WWF history, is also highlighted.
And throughout it all, of course, is The Rock. His humor provides an excellent narration to this personality tape, which is well worth a purchase for either the casual wrestling fan who only catches a couple of shows a year, or for the hardcore storyline fan who appreciates a story told."
Rock Fans Enjoy!

"Of course I'm a Rock fan so i bought the tape. The movie was excellent. It showed some good matches and it showed when The Rock started. It showed him in the Nation, a Corporate Champ, and of course The People's Champ. It shows all his famous lines and promos. So know your role and buy "KNOW YOUR ROLE" you Roody Poos. IF YOU SMELL WHAT THE ROCK, hey this isn't sing along with The Rock! The Rock says it by hiself! IF YOU SMELL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKIN'!"

"I thought the video was great. It showed highlights from some of his best matches and a behind the scenes look at the Gettin' Chefy With It' commerical. Every Rock fan should get this video!"
Electrifying!

"This video is totally hilarious. It follows the Rock while he is filming his television commercial, "Gettin' Chefy Wit It" that lets everyone smell what the Rock is cookin'. You will also see highlights of the Rock with the Nation, and his feuds with HHH, Mankind, and the biggest piece of Texas trailer park trash walkin' God's green earth in Stone Cold Steve Austin. The best part of the video is when highlights are shown of the Rock cutting the most entertaining promos in WWF history. Know your role, buy the Rock's video NOW!"
