Good ideas, lacking production values

"I'm a classical musician who needs to learn Klezmer clarinet style for a future performance. I found the instruction, especially paired with a small folio of included sheet music to be very helpful. Statman's playing is warm and sensitive and the accompaniment quite good. The audio quality however is horrible and is a serious distraction. It sounds like it was recorded on bad analog cassette tape, with a pronounced 5Hz flutter. It also would have been better if Statman rehearsed his comments more, as his verbal delivery is halting and awkward. Fortunately his playing is fluid, and his approach to the lesson is good. He plays each piece largely "straight" first, then adds ornamentation, then explains what he added."
