The is an historical documentary of some of the 10,000 (mostly Jewish) children from Western Europe who were sent to England to live during the Nazi occupation. The homes were mostly strangers who neither the children or their parents knew. Some of the experiences of the children were good and some were not. It was a difficult time for all. It was well done telling the postive as well as the negative aspects of the experience. Mostly, the children were granted life in hard times rather than death if they had remained at home. But harrowing ... to be away from family and some never to see their parents again or to know what happened to them. One of the children, Lore Segal has written a novel about the experience, "Other People's Houses", which I ordered but have not yet read.
