Honey is the star of this show!

"I originally got into Rod Piazza because I love "Blues" harmonica music. What I found out when I bought one of his CDs was I liked Honey's "Boogie Woogie" piano more than the harmonica by Rod.

Rod is an excellent player as far has harp players go, I just don't care for his style as much as I do for other harp players such as Sonny Boy (I and II), James Cotton and such. For the most part he has a good voice but on some of his vocals his voice sounds very strained, at least on this DVD.

The show is very good and the other players in the band hold their own, but the star of this DVD is Honey's piano!!!

All in all it's a very entertaining show and video and the audio are first class.

One of the "extras" on the video is an interview with Rod and Honey. Watching this was very touching. They expressed their feelings about doing music for a living. They talked about how when they were young they had dreams of making it big. They talked about the hassles of being on the road. But in the end they said that even though it's been a tough road to travel they still continue to do it for their love of their music and the way it makes them feel...

Piazza and Honey at their best

"If one loves the sound of the Blues harp, this one is not to be missed. Rod's voice fell short occasionally when he tried to stretch it, but his soulful playing more than made up for it. The band was tight and most of all they seemed to really enjoy playing the music together. The guitar playing was outstanding in the track "Murder in the First Degree".

Don't miss the interview with Rod and Honey on the DVD, in there Rod and Honey revealed their love for Blues and the wonderful years together, through which you get a sense of their personalities and perspectives on life."
