Movie Reviews

From a guitar player about a guitar player's album...
Lawrence Jacobsen | Cheyenne, WY USA | 12/27/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This DVD is a great example of a mixture of the history of fingerstyle (and a bit of slide) guitar in 20th Century USA and up till now.

And finally Pat did his version of ''Would You Like to Play the Guitar'' (set to the tune of Would you like to sing on a star)...

This is a mixture of advice, pointers, history of the players and great playing - amazing playing. If you've never Pat his playing is clean, clever, never boring, and always challenging should you decide to learn what he's doing. It's not a teaching DVD but it can serve as such for accomplished players.

Pat Donohue has been the guitarist for Prairie Home Companion for years- for good reason!"
