This is one of those movies that you love it or hate it...like you do the 3 Stooges.

Penelope Ann Miller is excellent as the bumbling wife of a cop who stumbles on a gun used in a murder. She loves the attention she's getting so she confesses to the murder and that's where the fun ensues.

I thought it was hilarious, even though you know exactly what's going to happen in the next scene. It was a fun 90 minutes. I adored Scarlette, her dog.

Very silly comedy--good for a night at home with the spouse.

Penelope Ann Miller and Julianne Moore almost a quarter century ago, fresh-faced and energetic, win my applause as promising comediennes.

Don't expect a convincing plot or characters who will surprise you. Just pull up the popcorn, an appropriate beverage, and an accepting viewing pal.

You'll have a fine time.
