Movie ReviewsGood For A Discussion On Racism Deacon | America | 05/04/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "As people talk about racism in America it seems like we mostly talk about the divide between blacks and whites. Yet, through American history racism has taken on many, many different forms.
This DVD made me realize that America treated the Japanese - even our out citizens - very badly during World War II. I didn't know that we put them into camps, took away their rights etc... The most amazing track on the DVD is a government propoganda film that defends putting innocent Japanese people into internment camps. It's shocking. Then you get to see the bombing of Hiroshima which is just horrific. This is a brave title to release." |
