Have enjoyed this title many times through the years (it was originally a television special.) Cleese takes a shot at parodying Doyle's Sherlock Holmes and more. He is joined onscreen by his former wife, the magnificent Connie Booth, whom he has remained close with (and co-wrote the famous Fawlty Towers with.) Playing Watson is Arthur Lowe, whose performance and ridiculous phrases really crack me up throughout. Some of this is just plain silly and goofy, so you might want to check your brain in at the door before viewing; because really, it's just pure fun. On the down side, most stuff from the 70's isn't the most PC now, and you get a bit of that here, viewer be warned.
