Kenny Drew At The Brewhouse

(5 out of 5 stars)

"16063 · Kenny Drew Trio At The Brewhouse
The Danes have been lucky regarding the fact that a number of the most eminent jazz musicians have lived for several years in Denmark, both Ben Webster and Dexter Gordon being good examples of this - as well as the fine pianist Kenny Drew. He was the most popular co-pianist of them all and he was a brilliant soloist. This film was recorded in 1992 in England - just a year before his death. Still at the top of his form as a musician, and with Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen on bass and Alvin Queen on drums the success became a fact."
